A NEW CHAPTER FOR A SUSSEX HOTEL

Boutique Hotel Refurbishment

DESCRIPTION
Comprehensive refurbishment of an existing 13-bedroom hotel, including upgrades to guest rooms, bathrooms, reception and communal areas, together with improvements to the mechanical and electrical installations, finishes and interior design.
OUR WORK
Preparation of Tender Bills of Quantities covering demolition and alteration works, structural modifications, architectural finishes, mechanical and electrical services, sanitary installations, fitted furniture and interior design elements. The commission also included management of the complete tender process, responding to tender queries, tender analysis, contractor interviews, preparation of the tender report and support through contract award. Documentation was prepared in accordance with RICS NRM 2, with procurement and contract administration principles aligned to the appropriate JCT building contract.
COFFEE SHOPS ACROSS LONDON

Quick-Service Coffee-Shop Roll-Out

DESCRIPTION
Multi-site roll-out programme for a branded quick-service coffee-shop chain, involving the fit-out and refurbishment of retail units across London. Typical works included front-of-house finishes, commercial kitchens, counters and fitted furniture, mechanical and electrical services, signage and brand-specific installations.
OUR WORK
Provision of comprehensive quantity surveying and commercial-management services throughout the programme. This included preparation of cost plans and Tender Bills of Quantities, management of contractor tendering, tender analysis and negotiation, contractor appointment, preparation of contract documentation, valuation of works, assessment of variations, cost reporting and agreement of final accounts. Standardised cost templates and benchmarking data were also developed to provide the client with consistent cost information across future locations. Measurement was undertaken in accordance with RICS NRM 2, with contract administration aligned to the relevant JCT contract or JCT minor works form, depending on the size and complexity of each location.
